Promoting Trade for Sustainable Development in OIC Member States
The Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT) is a specialized institution of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), established in 1984 and headquartered in Casablanca, Morocco. Its core mission is to strengthen trade cooperation among OIC Member States by promoting integrated, sustainable, and inclusive economic development.
The upcoming OIC Investment Forum in Africa, taking place from December 2 to 4, 2025, at the International Conference Center of Bamako (CICB), to be organized by the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT), in collaboration with the Business Forum (THIQAH) as well as the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Mali, under the Presidency of His Excellency the President of the Transition, Head of State of the Republic of Mali and His Excellency the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
This year’s Forum, held under the theme “Unlocking Africa’s Investment Potential”, is a strategic platform dedicated to promoting Africa as a prime destination for investment from OIC Member States. It brings together government leaders, investment promotion agencies, international institutions, and private sector stakeholders to engage in actionable dialogue and deal-making.
The agenda will feature:
- Presentations on key investment opportunities across vital sectors such as mining (gold, iron, copper), agriculture and agro-processing, fisheries, fertilizers, oil and gas, renewable energy, tourism, telecommunications, infrastructure, and manufacturing (wood, electrical, mechanical, and plastic industries);
- A detailed overview of incentives and facilitation measures offered by participating countries;
- High-level discussions on the role of financial institutions in mobilizing capital for impactful, large-scale projects.
On this occasion, we would be honored to count on the participation of your Honorable Institution in this major event, and to benefit from your support in relaying information to national stakeholders concerned with investment issues.
Your participation is particularly welcomed in the following components:
