The Africa Debate is London’s leading investment summit focused on Africa.
Now in its 9th year and returning to the Guildhall on May 11th on a grand scale, the 2023 event will explore the future of African trade, discussing and debating the continent’s trade profile in the wake of COVID-19 and a multitude of global economic shocks.
Join us in what promises to be the centre of the African Investment universe, as we bring together global businesses, private and public investment bodies, thought leaders, and policy makers for a series of conversations on the future of African trade.
Africa’s trade outlook is at a crossroads.
On one hand, supply chain disruptions stemming from the pandemic, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and US-China competition paint a gloomy picture to say the least… with the continent’s resource-intensive economies highly exposed in terms of debt risks and commodities shocks.
However, the continent also finds itself perhaps more resilient to trade and these shocks than ever before, with African countries aligning trade and investment policies behind the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The Africa Debate 2023 will bring together leaders from across the continent to discuss the future of African trade and how the private sector can best support and prepare for a more integrated – and more competitive – African trade environment.
