10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
House of German Business, Berlin
With growth rates exceeding 5% and rapidly increasing exports of copper and cobalt, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is one of Africa's most dynamic economies. At the same time, new opportunities are emerging beyond the raw materials sector – from infrastructure and energy to services and green technologies of the future.
As the sponsoring organization of the Sub-Saharan Africa Initiative of German Business (SAFRI), we cordially invite you to the German-Congolese Business Forum. SAFRI is organizing this key meeting in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE), and the Federal Foreign Office (AA). The goal is to strengthen the exchange of information on investment and cooperation opportunities in the raw materials, energy, water, agriculture, and pharmaceutical sectors between Germany and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), to deepen partnerships, and to initiate concrete projects for sustainable value creation.
The Congolese delegation is led by Foreign Minister Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner and includes high-ranking representatives from the Ministry of Investment and Energy, as well as other government institutions.
The economic forum is taking place alongside the intergovernmental negotiations between Germany and the DRC, thus providing a key platform for addressing the concerns of the private sector and strategically supporting the political dialogue between the two countries.
Registration and the preliminary agenda can be found here.
