Ghana & Côte d'Ivoire
In April 2026, we are offering Hessian companies in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors the opportunity to participate in a business trip to Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire with us and the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The aim of the company mission is to facilitate access to new sales markets in West Africa and to establish valuable business contacts.
Both countries are investing heavily in expanding and modernizing their healthcare systems and aim to increase local pharmaceutical production to reduce dependence on imports. This is significantly increasing the demand for modern medical technology, laboratory and diagnostic equipment, high-quality pharmaceuticals, improved hospital infrastructure, and digital health solutions. At the same time, a growing, affluent middle class is emerging that increasingly values quality and demands reliable products and services. Products and services "Made in Germany" enjoy a particularly high reputation.
Hessian companies should consider both markets: Ghana (Anglophone) and Côte d'Ivoire (Francophone) together offer strategic access to the entire ECOWAS area (economic community of 15 African states) with over 400 million people.
In Ghana (April 20-22), B2B meetings, visits to companies, hospitals, and institutions, as well as networking events in the healthcare sector are planned. In Côte d'Ivoire (April 22-25), the focus will be on participation in the MedPharma Africa trade fair , supplemented by individual meetings with potential partners and further networking activities with key decision-makers.
The Company Mission is aimed particularly at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Hesse that wish to expand their international activities.

Participation fee: The participation fee is 500 euros plus VAT per person (maximum 2 participants per company); the costs for flight, hotel and meals outside the program must be borne by each participant.
