Niamey (location TBC) / 22nd and 23rd November 2022

The African Union Commission and European Commission are jointly organising a workshop on regional value chains at continental scale.

It will be held in Niamey in the margin of the African Union Summit at the end of November, and will be articulated around different sector-specific sessions following the results of the International Trade Center Diagnostic on Regional value Chains, that the African Union Commission and the European Commission have commanded.

The sessions will address Infant food, apparel of cotton, automotive, pharmaceuticals and the cross cutting issues that remain clear barriers to trade in these domains.

Within this context, Directorate-General For International Partnerships (EC, DG INTPA) organized an information session on 27th October 2022. The purpose of this session was to introduce and invite EABF members to the AU - EU workshop and briefly presents the ITC diagnostic’s results.

EBCAM staff members participated in the information session and had the opportunity to realize the quality and the significance of the ITC diagnostic’s results. As an EABF working group member, EBCAM highly suggests the participation in the upcoming workshop because will be an excellent occasion to build upon the outputs of the EU Africa Business Forum.
